Toby Vogel writes about international affairs from Brussels and is a co-founder and senior associate of the Democratization Policy Council (DPC), a think tank that critically follows Western policies toward democratizing countries. Other research interests include international development financing, transparency and lobbying, migration and asylum, and information manipulation.
He has published widely on the Balkans and on European Union policies and politics, with recent bylines in Foreign Affairs, EUobserver, and Balkan Insight, as well as various reviews of current-affairs titles in the TLS.
